I'm just adding a quick entry (15 minutes before I leave for work.. lol) just because I'm leaving tomorrow to go to Kingston for four days so I don't want to have to update about the last few days AND the trip when I get back. Anywho, yesterday was the Famous Players staff picnic which was a lot of fun. We took the bus from Silvercity, picked up some people from another theatre and drove to Wally World. There was a couple other theatres there, but ours made up the majority of the people. Unfortunately, SC also had the hottest guys (and girls) of the bunch, which was disappointing as I was hoping for some other hotties to ogle and mingle with. But, anyway, we didn't really do much mingling as we all sat in a pavilion eating and playing volleyball and tug-of-war - theatre's pretty much stuck to themselves, because really the only thing we have in common with them is that we work at Famous Players. As Jen mentioned, if we were going to have to work with these people, then we might've made more of an effort to talk to them. Anyway, after we ate, we took turns trying to dunk the managers in the dunk tank *grin* That was fun. We dunked Head Dave (who's kinda cute!), another FP manager, Kerry and Abe. *chuckle* good fun. Then we handed out prizes (the big ones being a boombox and an X-Box) and then went into the park. The park itself was fun. We went on the tube slide a couple times, and the wave pool, but spent the majority of them time floating in the lazy river. I started off, floating in a little circle with Jen, Chevaune (sp?!), Erin, Rana, and um... I think the fifth person was Megan. The funny part there was since we were floating in a group we took up a lot of the width of the "river" and a couple people tried to push past Erin. She belted out "Hey stop pushing - you son of a bitch!" LOL it was so hilarious that she actually said that. Anyway, we floated around the whole thing and then were joined by a bunch of other people.. Brad, Laura, Kerry (not manager), Sarah, Kristan etc. and eventually had a chain, connected tube by tube of about fifteen. By the time we had completed half the loop we were up to twenty five Silvercity folk all linked together, causing a major blockage and having a blast. It was a LOT of fun. So that was the day. It was very fun and I had a great time, but unfortunately I got sunburned all over my face and my chest. The thing is - the ONLY place that I put sunscreen - my face and my ears and my front - were the places I got crispefied! Go figure. Anyway, we got back around 5:30 and I got picked up and went home. I got some major heat exhaustion and felt so sick that I had to cancel the meeting to get my Career Strategy results because I was so sleepy. I ended up sleeping from 7:30 on. I woke up at midnight and was up for a few hours unable to sleep, then went back to sleep and woke up at 10:30 this morning. (gotta make this quick, gotta leave soon!) Ah!! *looks at watch* Gonna be late! Gotta go, and have a great weekend. see ya when I get back :D
