I suppose I'll add an entry, since I don't have much else to do today until 4. As you can see, I'm back from my trip with my dad.. I don't remember if I wrote an entry telling you all I was leaving or not. Anyway, it was a nice four day vacation away from London.. on Friday we drove up to a town near Kingston to stay with some friends Denise and Tom (who came up to stay with us last year at our property). We stayed over night at their house and then drove to Ottawa on Saturday for the Ottawa Folk Festival. That was pretty fun. We saw a bunch of performers that my dad is into.. Richard Thomson, Garnet Rogers, etc.. and I saw this one girl, Serena Ryder who was absolutely amazing. She had an astounding voice and I want to get one of her CDs. On Saturday night we stayed at a really nice hotel in Ottawa. Sunday we went to Parliament Hill, and then to the Art Museum to see an exhibit on Tom Thomson and drove to Kingston to stay over Sunday night. I must say, I am totally in love with Kingston, it is such a beautiful town. The streets are lined with clothing stores of all different kinds.. not chain stores, but really unique ones. Then, downtown by the water front, there are streets lined with outdoor cafes on either side. On Monday before we left to drive home we visited Queens University and I got a bunch of pamphlets. I'm seriously considering going there for University, but I have to read through the info and see if they offer anything that I'm interested in (mainly in the arts/social science feilds). So, it feels good to now have somewhat of an idea of what I want to do in the future. God, the idea of living on my own is just so appealing to me. I want to have my own place so badly, or a place with a good friend or a boyfriend. I *love* decorating, and I am so excited to go shopping for stuff for a new place when the time comes. The thing is, it would be so expensive to go to Queens (ie. living away from home). So, who knows. I'm going to be putting about $300 into savings every month starting now, so hopefully that will help pay for me to go out of London. ~*~*~*~ So, that was the trip. All in all, fairly enjoyable! On to other news, I got my timetable for OAC on Tuesday. It's looking pretty good. Day One I have English, Foods & Nutrition (LoL such a bird course), Law (thinking about dropping this but who knows..I don't really want to go down to 6 courses), and then I have World Issues. Day Two I have a first period spare, Families in Canadian Society, Finite and Writer's Craft. Not bad. I have friends in almost all my subjects.. actually I think I have at least one person I like in each one, so that's good. Next year, hopefully, will be a good year. I guess that's all I have to say for now, there's not much else interesting going on except for work and last minute back to school shopping... That reminds me, I'm so irritated.. over the summer I've gained weight, especially around the middle so now practically all my pants are too tight. This is so annoying, I've never ever had this problem before so I guess I'll have to start excersizing or something to start fitting into my favourite jeans again. Herumph. So, yes. That is all. Goodbye!
